Combination procedures:
Fee reductions occur when multiple procedures are performed at the same time.
Provincial Health Insurance coverage:
Most provincial health insurance plans in Canada cover the following:
- facial scar revision
- dermabrasion for acne scarring
- otoplasty if the patient is under 18 years of age
- traumatic crooked noses with trauma occurring within two years
Revisional cosmetic procedures:
Revisional cosmetic procedures must be charged to the patient; they are not covered by provincial health care plans. If the surgeon performed the original surgery, the price for revisional work may be 50% of the original fee, depending on the complexity of the work or it may be included in the original fee. Ask your surgeon prior to the original surgery.
If the previous surgery was performed by another surgeon, the fee may be at least 50% more, depending on the complexity.
