Dr. Ellis was previously President of the Canadian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, Canadian Vice President of The American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and the President and Secretary of The Canadian Society of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery. In Sydney, he shared his knowledge and experience on Large Volume Permanent Injectable Fillers, Narrowing the Wide nasal Tip and Use of Radio frequency in the Reduction of Frowning: ? An Alternative to Botox. In Cartagena, He lectured to Facial Plastic Surgeons from around the world on The Use of Radio-frequenct (GFx) for Frowning and Current thinking in the use of Threading as an Alternative to Facelifting". In Toronto, at the Surgical Skills Laboratory at Mount Sinai Hospital, he has lectured about Botox™ and Juvederm™ fillers at The Canadian National FACE™ Meeting in February 2008 and the Toronto Regional FACE™ Meeting in April 2008. Dr Ellis shared his knowledge and expertise with other top Canadian Injectors about the anatomy and physiology of injectable fillers and Botox™. This program was sponsored by Allergan, the manufacturers and distributors of Botox™ Cosmetic and Juvederm™. In June 2008, Dr. Ellis shared his knowledge and experience at The Multispecialty Foundation for Surgical Excellence in Las Vegas. Many doctors and surgeons believe this is the best educational event of the year in the USA as there are specialists from many different disciplines. Dr Ellis gave a lecture on Rhinoplasty: Narrowing the Nasal Tip and was Chairman and Organizer of a panel called The Masters Skin Clinic - Dilemmas and Case Studies with skilled surgeons and dermatologists from all over North America participating on the panel. Topics included broken capillaries, blotchy dark facial patches, areas of decreased pigmentation and many other skin problems. Lastly, Dr Ellis has reviewed and presented his extensive experience with long-term and permanent injectable fillers, many of which are not yet available in the USA. His lecture was Long Term Injectable Implants: Are They Better Than Short Term? was extremely popular and stimulated excellent discussion. |
